Cedar Mountain Software has created
a web-based conference registration system. This system is designed
to assist conference organizers in automating the conference registration
process. The following page lists some of the system's features.
System Features:
User Friendly
The system is designed to automate and simplify the registration
process as much as possible for both organizers and participants.
Flexible Rate
Schedule The system will support any level of complexity in a conference's
rate schedule.
Multpile User Categories
The system allows conference organizers to create multiple
user categories. Each category can contain different predefined
questions, options, and pricing.
Real-time Credit
Card Processing
Cedar Mountain Software can optionally integrate credit card
processing software into the registration system. This reduces
paperwork and processing delays by letting participants pay
directly for their registration instead of submitting payment
information to conference organizers.
Branching Registration
System The system is designed with a branching structure based
on user categories and registration options. This enables
the system to accomodate varying levels of complexity in registering
conference participants. For example, the system is able to
accomodate:
users who register only for workshops
users who register for only one conference
day
users who register for the entire conference
In the case of the person registering for workshops,
the system would provide a list of the workshops and ask which
ones they wished to attend. Basic Registration Administration The system provides a basic web-based administration interface.
This allows conference organizers to view a list of all registrations,
and approve/disapprove registrations. The sytem can also export
the registration lists in spreadsheet-compatible formats that
conference organizers can import into other applications.
Custom Database
Integration
Cedar Mountain Software can optionally create a desktop version
of the web-based administration interface in Microsoft Access. Online
registration data is integrated into the desktop application. This
allows organizers to take advantage of Access' advanced management
and reporting capabilities while maintaining the simplicity of the
web-based registration system.
